Goblins are usually about 50 cms (20 inches) tall with a long pointy noses, big round bellies, short legs with long feet and pointy ears. Their skin is usually green in colour but in some regions it can be brown, yellow or even black.
All goblins are powerful magic users. It is this ability that has allowed them to survive in the hostile environment of Grrym.
Goblin history is long . . . their recorded history goes back more than a thousand centuries of Earth time. In that time, great goblin civilisations have risen and fallen many times, their eventual destruction is almost the result of troll incursions. To the west lie the lands of the aggressive blood trolls, always on the look out for slaves and shiny things. Far to the south are the ice trolls, long time adversaries of the goblins.
Life on Grrym is harsh, so goblins numbers are never numerous. But they survive . . . and that is what is most important.
Yet somehow, they manage to do more than survive. They have built great cities and made tremendous advances in the study of magjiik. They have valuable allies in the giants that roam across Grrym and even trade freely with the forest trolls to the south and the billabong trolls that live in the deep water holes scattered across the plains of M’boo.
